Hi there.

Who is the best character in Sex and the City? I would argue that it’s incontestably Samantha. She’s strong, unapologetically herself, witty and frank. We could all do with channelling our inner Samantha (which is what I intend to kind of do in this blog).

I’m actually not even sure if it’s necessary to introduce a blog but it feels a little abrupt to just dive right into it so here we are…

I’m Alice and I’m turning 30 this year, which is causing a bit of an (enormous) existential crisis, so I thought I’d do something out of my comfort zone and start a blog. 

I’ve lived, studied and worked abroad since I was 18 and along the way I’ve picked up some funny experiences and met some incredibly interesting people in some amazing places. This blog is an assortment of tips I’ve picked up along the way, funny stories, and how to navigate the highs and lows of being a single 20 (almost 30) something female living abroad and figuring this shit out. 

Here’s to hoping that this little corner of the internet will provide some solidarity for those looking to jump into a new adventure, those already living abroad and looking for someone to resonate with or those just feeling generally lost in this minefield that is life. I hope the light-hearted, self-depreciating anecdotes will bring some light relief into this pretty bleak world.
